MJ Cole is a total king in FACT’s books.

One of the greatest UK garage producers ever, he’s recently relocated to that fertile ground between Funky house, dubstep and garage, and is all the better for it – his recent Riddim EP thrilling and bottom-heavy without taking itself remotely seriously – which is always a great thing. He’s also done a FACT mix. What more can you ask for?

Here he tackles ‘Princess’, the new single by Joe ‘Primary 1’ Flory, out on July 5 via Atlantic, and takes it over the edge with squealing, circuit-bent chords and fizzing bottom-end physics. Granted, it might be even better with the vocal dubbed out, but beggars can’t be choosers. Not that we’re beggars. Honest.
