Followers of the reggaeton – or, as he likes to refer to himself, raverton – sound will require no introduction to Toy Selectah, one of its most popular and energetic contemporary standard-bearers.

Real name Toy Hernandez, he’s A&R for the Universal-owned Machete Music imprint, but here he we find him in the role of musician – remixing ‘Me Gusto’ by San Antonio producer Mexicans With Guns (pictured) into a cumbia-flavoured, loosely syncopated club track that we can imagine functioning as effectively in a Benidorm hotel disco as a Brooklyn hipster squat party. Which is  a complement.
