Legendary Austrian sound artist Fennesz will headline a show at St Pancras Church on May 20.
Revered by those that know, Fennesz has built his reputation on sound installations, impressive live shows and classic albums – most notably Endless Summer and Black Sea, released on Editions Mego and Touch respectively. The press release for the night expects “the stones of the building to sing in communion with his naturalistic drone symphonies”, and we can’t say we’re any different.
In support, you’ll find fellow Touch artist Philip Jeck, who reimagines the art of turntablism as a high art form, experimenting with broken equipment, salvaged records and more, and Old Apparatus, a shady collective on Mala’s Deep Medi label who combine dubstep, drone and more to stomach-churningly powerful effect.
Doors open at 7pm, tickets are available here. The night has been curated by Miles of Smiles, who promise a “ticket link soon”. We’d recommend checking their website nearer the time.
