The latest in Radio 1’s series of two-hour Essential mixes comes from wise-beyond-his-years Bristol house producer Julio Bashmore.

It follows recent Essential mixes from Jamie xx and James Blake, but Julio’s – on basis of tracklist alone – appears the most exciting of the three, with solid gold cuts from Larry Heard, Dem 2, Kink and MK rubbing shoulders with new material from Bashmore, Joy Orbison and more. There’s also a highlight from this Monday’s FACT mixer, Karizma.
