We premiered Detroit house icon Moodymann’s ‘Summertime’-sampling ‘9 Nites N Nowhere’ yesterday, and now his full Picture This EP is available from Scion A/V. The man with the ‘fro born Kenny Dixon, Jr.’s new eight-track EP is a worthy addition to a career spanning almost twenty years. It includes ‘9 Nites N Nowhere’, as well the relentlessly funky ‘Basement Party’, mellow cuts like ‘U Ranaway’ and ‘Hold It Down’, and a couple of deep disco stompers.
