In the wake of cheery album cut ‘Slow Down’, Masta Ace has finally settled on a release date for his forthcoming collaborative album with DOOM.

MA DOOM: Son Of Yvonne will see the Queens veteran dropping verses over entirely DOOM-produced instrumentals. The beats are all taken from the Metal Faced Villain’s Special Herbs compilation series, released in periodical form from 2001-2005. According to Prefix, the album is now set to appear on July 17, courtesy of Fat Beats Records.

The release date arrives after near six months of delays and deferrals. DOOM also has a collaborative LP on the way with beat wizard Jneiro Jarel, titled Key To The Kuffs. A release date has yet to be etched in stone, but the album is expected this summer (under the alias JJ DOOM, naturally)
