Last night, former interview buddies Kendrick Lamar and Erykah Badu teamed up on stage.

Sunday’s BET Awards saw a string of performances from the usual roster of pop behemoths (Robin Thicke, Chris Brown), long-timers (R. Kelly, Mariah Cariah) and undeniable contemporary talents (Miguel).

Firmly in the latter category is Lamar, who put on the performance of the evening with a good kid, M.A.A.D city one-two. Kendrick’s set saw him blister through ‘m.A.A.d. City’, before bringing out the neo-soul high priestess for a slick version of ‘Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe’; click below to watch.
