Nile Rodgers and Mercury nominees Disclosure will be working together, it seems.
Speaking at the International Music Summit in Ibiza in May, Rodgers hinted that a session with the Disclosure boys was on the cards. Since then, silence – but it now looks like the team-up is happening sooner rather than later.
According to Rodgers’ Twitter – one of the great fountainheads of positivity in a fallen world – the Chic mastermind is about to begin work with the Lawrence brothers on new music. Rodgers wrote:
“Heading to London to work w the brilliant @Disclosure. I absolutely love their album Settle!”
Since his career-reviving bunk-up with Daft Punk, Rodgers has been a prolific (and, some might whisper, indiscriminate) collaborator, working with the likes of Chase & Status, Avicii and, we recently discovered, Tensnake. He also appears in the glitzy new video for Daft Punk’s ‘Lose Yourself To Dance’, released earlier this week.
Back in Summer, Azealia Banks erroneously suggested she was was also recording with Disclosure – something the pair were quick to clarify.
