The Dial boss follows up last year’s Film & Windows with a mostly beatless record.

Lawrence has announced his sixth LP, A Day In The Life, which will arrive on Toshiya Kawasaki’s Mule Musiq label next month.

Producer Peter Kersten calls it a “triple buddy record”, explaining that it marks his 10-year friendship with Kawasaki and artist Stefan Marx, who provides the artwork.

“The three of us have worked together for ten years. This record shows this very nicely in terms of our love for ambient music and cover artwork. The cover shows Stefan’s sublet apartment in New York, [which is] also a very ambient place. The idea for the record emerged out of a sudden inspiration and this fits perfect to the way Toshiya runs a label, where sharing a good natural wine is more important than marketing,” he explained.
