The 2003 album receives a long-overdue reissue.
Amy Winehouse’s debut album Frank was originally released on CD in 2003; it was released on vinyl in 2008 and was repressed once, in 2011. Still, the record is highly sought after, with copies going for over £100 on Discogs.
Now, it appears that the record will be reissued on vinyl by Republic Records, with a release on July 31 according to a posting on Elusive Disc.
A documentary about the singer, Amy, will open in UK cinemas on July 3. It features previously unheard music from the late singer; Winehouse’s family recently branded the film “misleading”, with her dad Mitch claiming it was “tainted” by the filmmakers. [via TVF]
