The veteran DJ-producer is part of a new collective.

With You. (mind the period) is a collaborative project that features core members Rick Trainor, Jeff Penalva, Noah Schy, Daouda Leonard and Dave Taylor, best known as Major Lazer co-founder and M.I.A. collaborator Switch.

The group’s first EP, Speak, features three house grooves and a remix by rave legends 2 Bad Mice. The title track, featuring Wailers collaborator Elan Atias, takes the Jamaican influence of Major Lazer in a different direction. ‘Not Somewhere’ is reminiscent of Taylor’s long-running Solid Groove alias, and ‘Crossing’ closes the EP with a slice of bass-heavy house that would fit on his Dubsided imprint.

Stream the EP below; it’s due out tomorrow via Hypercolour. The group’s future plans are still under wraps, but it sounds like they have some big moves and exciting collaborations in the works.
