The duo’s debut album is out this fall.

Felicia Douglass is best known for her work in the excellent experimental rock band Ava Luna, but she’s also contributed to a wide range of projects including Mr. Twin Sister and Toro Y Moi. Recently, a one-off collaboration with producer Erik Gundel has expanded into an exciting new project called Gemma.

Later this year the duo will release their debut album, As Ever, October 2 through Inflated Records and today we’re sharing the excellent title track. It’s a delicate, careful combination that finds Douglass’ heartfelt voice melding to Gundel’s bleary, DJ Koze-like melody perfectly. It makes for a sound that feels exploratory and airtight all at once.
