British techno mainstay delivers a two-tracker for M-Plant.

Detroit lynchpin Robert Hood typically reserves M-Plant releases for his own classy techno creations. In a rare move, Hood will hand over to another producer for the label’s next release.

UK techno veteran Mark Broom will deliver a two-track 12″ via M-Plant in October. Broom was recently tapped to provide edits of Hood’s tracks for the label’s 20th anniversary celebrations. His dubplate mix of Floorplan’s anthemic ‘Never Grow Old’ remains a true dancefloor weapon.

The A-side of the new 12″ features the ’97 Mix’ of ‘Stunned’. The original version of the track was released on Mark Broom and Dave Hill’s renowned Pure Plastic label back in 1997. The ’97 Mix’ began life as a live mix of the track, which Broom “tweaked for maximum dancefloor devastation.” New cut ‘Decay’ takes up the B-side.

Stunned (97 Mix) / Decay will be released via M-Plant on October 9.

Tracklist:

1. Mark Broom – Stunned (97 Mix)
2. Mark Broom – Decay
