Terius Nash takes on the soul legend.

The-Dream has released IAMSAM, an eight-track collection of Sam Cooke covers.

“My Mother loved a lot of Artist [sic] growing up, but the one we shared the most interest in together was Sam Cooke, so Tonight I give him back to her,” he writes on Instagram.

The covers were recorded in 2010 during the making of Beyonce’s 4, and the releases commemorates the 23rd anniversary of Nash’s mother’s passing.
