The duo craft a soundtrack to an imaginary landscape.

New Mexico artist William Fowler Collins has explored many different musical territories over the years. Though we’ve previously covered his brutal work in Mesa Ritual, his latest project takes a more tranquil route. Collaborating with James Jackson Toth, best known for his work under the moniker Wooden Wand, the pair present Under Stars And Smoke a record that finds the pair blending influences from their New Mexico and Kentucky homes to create, as they put it, a soundtrack to an imaginary, alien landscape.

You can stream the album in full below and look for it on vinyl April 8 via label Blackest Rainbow’s store Bear Tree Records.
