When it comes to video game music, Sega is the scrappy underdog of the 16-bit era.
With a less advanced soundchip than Nintendo’s SNES, Sega Genesis composers worked to do more with less and ended up delivering many of the era’s classic soundtracks. You can now stream all of Out Run — one of the most iconic video game soundtracks of all time — as well as cult favorites such as the NiGHTS series and Fantasy Zone. They join the growing collection of streamable soundtracks from the company such as Golden Axe, Jet Set Radio and Skies Of Arcadia.
