There’s a reason we media partner Night Slugs: the London clubnight run by Bok Bok and L-Vis 1990 has been responsible for many of the capital’s best underground parties in the last few years, bringing the likes of Geeneus, Drop the Lime, Kode 9, Christian Martin and more to East Village and The Egg.

This Autumn, they’ll translate the party vibes of the night – built on heavy bass but with an ear for taste that many of their competitors lack – into a four track 12" EP for Glasgow’s Dress 2 Sweat label.

Bok Bok contributes the A-side in the form of ‘NNTF09’ and ‘Ripe Banana’, the former a hissing banger that will be familiar to fans of Starkey’s Starkbass CD from this year, and the latter a super-synthetic bouncing house track that sits nicely alongside DVA’s ‘Jelly Roll’ and Roska’s ‘Feeline’, not to mention L-Vis 1990’s ‘United Groove’ single for Mad Decent. L-Vis then contributes the B-Side with R’n’B-fed house jam ‘Run’ and the bolshier ‘Hide’, which went down a treat when Untold dropped it at Sunday’s FACT party.

You can stream a megamix of the four tracks on the Night Slugs myspace; the release is pencilled in for a September 1 release date.
