Remember the Villalobos movie? Well fellow superstar house DJ Luciano, who runs the Cadenza label, will receive similar treatment this October.

October 12 is when Tribute to the Sun, Luciano’s first album under his own name, will be released. This much we knew. What we now know is that Tribute to the Sun will be accompanied by a DVD, titled La Ruta Del Sol – Luciano’s Diary. Directed by Switzerland’s Raphaël Sibilla, it documents Luciano’s last South American tour, following the DJ for three weeks through Lima, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo and Santiago de Chile, and is described as an "intimate portrait" of the man who in the last five years, has become one of house and techno’s biggest names.

As for the album, it sports ten tracks, collaborations with Tricky affiliate Martina Topley-Bird and others, and a slightly dodgy cover. More information on the album here; you can watch the trailer for La Ruta Del Sol below:
