New Young Pony Club will return next month with a new single.

Titled ‘Lost a Girl’, it will be released as a free download, and marks more of the same for the London five-piece: hook-driven punk-funk that’s equal parts Blondie and Liquid Liquid.

Come March, NYPC will release their second album. The follow-up to 2007’s Mercury Prize-nominated Fantastic Playroom, it will be titled The Optimist, and released on March 1. ‘Lost a Girl’ will be available to download from the band’s website on December 14.
