The Flying Lotus and Thom Yorke love-in reached new heights today when the pair announced that they’ll be touring the States this April.
On the Radiohead blog, where they once linked to us and broke our site through sheer volume of traffic, Thom Yorke posted that he’ll be taking his new live band, Atoms for Peace, on tour, and that California’s FlyLo, whose new album Cosmogramma is in our mitts and sounding very nice indeed, will be providing support. Over to you, Yorke:
“ok so in April the other band.. that i got together to do the eraser and other stuff u know .. Mauro, Flea, Me, Joey and Nigel is going back out to do some shows in the US.. ending with playing with Coachella. we had too much fun to just leave it there… these are the shows & Flying Lotus is opening for us”
They’ll be playing at the following dates:
With Flying Lotus:
New York Roseland Ballroom – 5th & 6th April
Boston Citi Wang Theatre – 8th April
Chicago Aragon Ballroom 10th & 11th April
Oakland Fox Theatre 14th & 15th April
Without Flying Lotus:
Santa Barbara Bowl 17th April
Flying Lotus will also be playing a series of UK dates in the lead up to that tour; all the details of those can be found here.
Cosmogramma is out on May 3, and features Thom Yorke.
