Sasu Ripatti, the Finnish producer best known for his work as Vladislav Delay and Luomo, will release two albums and one 12″ under the name Sistol this summer (via Resident Advisor).

The only Sistol release up till now has been a 1999 self-titled album which came out on Pasadena-based Phthalo Records. One of this year’s new Sistol offerings is a remastered and expanded two-disc edition of that techno-rooted album, on Phthalo sub-label Halo Cyon, featuring remixes by the likes of FaltyDL, John Tejada and Alva Noto (Carsten Nicolai). This will be followed soon after by a 12″ and album, both entitled On The Bright Side and featuring all new Sistol material. Ripatti is also planning live Sistol performances for later in the year.
