If Twitter had some sort of rookie award, Kanye would already have it wrapped up.

The man’s been on Twitter for less than a week, but already he’s previewed material from his new album, shown off his goblet collection, bitched about how small his private jet is, talked about dating models… just the usual. He’s insane, and brilliantly so.

The latest step in the Kanye Twitter saga revolves around who he follows. Until this weekend, he followed nobody, despite having well over 300, 000 followers himself. Then, he chose one. Steven Holmes, from Coventry, picked completely at random.

In West’s own words, “[Holmes] is the chosen one dun dun dun dun.” There you go. As a result of being chosen, Holmes has seen his followers on Twitter increase from 60 to over a thousand, has an amusing dinner story for the rest of his life, and now in his own words, “feels pressure to say amusing and witty tweets.”

Kanye’s response? “Tweet strong young man, tweet strong.” Absolutely.
