Dazed Live is a new London festival curated by the folks at Dazed & Confused, taking place across various venues in Shoreditch, over the weekend of April 9-10.

They describe their creation as a “temporary autonomous zone of art, music and ideas”, but don’t let that put you off; they’ve assembled a formidable line-up that’s headlined by Gang Gang Dance, who are gearing up to release their long-awaited Eye Contact album. Hard-working no wave minimalists Factory Floor are involved, as too are Black Devil Disco Club, SBTRKT and About Group (the improv-based project centered around This Heat’s Charles Hayward and Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor). Legendary miserabilist Aidan Moffat, formerly of Arab Strap, will also perform, while Numbers and Greco-Roman host more dance-oriented sets from Actress and Caribou (DJ).

There’s plenty of interesting prospects in other media too: the festival will host the UK premiere of Kathy Grayson‘s group show Postermat, a Bare Bones ‘zine exhibition, and a screening of Captured (New York’s East Side), a film about photographer Clayton Patterson. There will be talks from filmmaker Ruth Hogben, digital video artists Champagne Valentine and more.

The full-line up has yet to be announced, but you can already nab early bird tickets here. Visit the festival’s official site for more information.
