Tyler, the Creator has revealed the sleeve art and release date for Goblin, his forthcoming solo album on XL.

Tyler is the leader of unfazeable hip-hop collective Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All, who signed to the UK label on an album deal following the cult success of last year’s self-released Bastard and Odd Future in general.

XL, as we know from Vampire Weekend’s Contra, know their way around a viral advertising campaign, and pulled a similar trick with Goblin – the sleeve art, above, has been circulating the ad slots of various websites over the last few days (including Nah Right, the hip-hop site frequently dissed by Tyler on Bastard), with a click through taking you to buffalo-bill.net, where you were greeted with the same image.

As of yesterday evening, the website contained more information: that the image was the sleeve for Goblin, and that the record will be released on May 10. There’s also a few seconds of a new Tyler track, which presumably will feature on the album along with recent singles ‘Yonkers’ and ‘Sandwitches’. More tracklist details when they’re made available.
