Untold, one of the wildest artists to emerge from the genre formally-easy-to-catagorise-as-dubstep has teamed up with vocalist Samuel Chase for a new project. Their name? Dreadnought.
Chase may be familiar from his work with Samuel and the Dragon, while Untold has released on labels like Hessle Audio and R&S, as well as his own Hemlock. He’s always had something special about him, but 2009 saw him rip up the dubstep textbook and find his niche in precision-tooled, minimalist club gear that looked to grime, jungle and classic house before it did the scene he made his name in.
Dreadnought will release a vinyl-only EP in June, and are working on a full album. Their debut live show will be an Eat Your Own Ears production, and is penciled in for early June. More details on that soon.
