Midwest crooner Mayer Hawthorne has given out a free EP titled Impressions.

Hawthorne hails from Ann Arbor, just outside Detroit (though he now resides in California), and released an acclaimed debut album in 2009 on Stones Throw, A Strange Arrangement. It’s Stones Throw who have released this new EP, albeit through their website, and it consists of six cover versions by Mayer, either solo or with his band The Country.
