Way before Timbaland and Pharrell were stars, they were part of a group called S.B.I. (Surrounded by Idiots).

Growing up in Virginia and counting a young Clipse as friends, this is – we believe – the first time that audio evidence of S.B.I. has been made public, in the form of three rough demos uploaded to Soundcloud by Timbaland’s A&R Larry Live [via Complex].

The tracks date back to 1990 or 1991, and are apparently the first time the group ever stepped foot into a recording show, with Timbaland (then known as DJ Timmy Tim) and Pharrell (then Magnum) alongside Larry Live and Magoo.
