MRSK – ‘Twirl’


Swedish producer Martin Skogehall impressed with last year’s swaggering ‘Black Keith’ 12″ on Rush Hour. His latest effort, out on 12″ vinyl this week, surveys even bolshier broken techno territory.

Released on his countrymen Skudge’s Skudge Presents label, ‘Twirl’/’Pinkman’ is one of the first truly killer dancefloor 12″s of 2012 so far. ‘Twirl’ in particular is a beaut, like UK Funky rendered with the force and trippiness of Berlin techno, but that’s not to denigrate ‘Pinkman’, with its stickier and possibly more durable groove.
