No one does drums like Rockwell. You could shake a mic-ed up tree of tarantulas and not hear a scuttle as precise or deadly as the London drum’n’bass producer’s percussion – a trait never portrayed as vigorously as on last year’s stunning ‘Aria’, a top ten pick in FACT’s 50 best tracks of 2011.

Rockwell’s next single comes out through Shogun Audio. The A-side, ‘Tripwire’ is one of the heaviest tracks we’ve heard from Rockwell, and will doubtless make an impact in the right club, but for us the pick of the 12″ is its more forlorn B-side ‘The Rain’. We’re premiering the first three and a half minutes of the track below; for those of you eager to hear the second drop, it’s out on March 26.
