Indie titans Arcade Fire are to release a super-limited 12″ of remixes on Record Store Day.

The release will contain rejigged versions of ‘Ready To Start’ and ‘Sprawl II’, both taken from the band’s Grammy winning The Suburbs LP. The mixes have been produced by the band themselves, with help from fellow Canuck Damian Taylor (last heard tinkering on Bjork’s Biophilia). Only 1000 copies of the single are to be pressed, and will be available exclusively through UK-based vinyl shops.

Record Store Day – taking place on April 21 – is a worldwide initiative to promote independent record stores. Other treats to look forward to include that new EP from Public Image Ltd, with more announcements to follow in the lead-up to the day.

‘Sprawl II’/’Ready To Start’ will drop on April 21 through Sonovox.
