Though Traxman has been in footwork more or less since the beginning, it doesn’t look like he’ll be running out of ideas any time soon.
His forthcoming album on Planet Mu, Da Mind Of Traxman, runs the gamut from sweaty (‘Let There Be Rockkkkk’) to meditative (‘Footworkin On Air’) across its blinding 18 tracks, and is possibly the best thing yet to come out of Planet Mu’s infatuation with the genre.
With ‘1988’ [via Boiler Room], the producer tips his hat in the direction of Chicago’s past with a squiggly 303 line and some eardrum-piercing 808 work. He’s got a mix on the way for us too, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
