It was the end of an era this week, as Gilles Peterson said goodbye to his long-time home on BBC Radio 1.
Peterson signed out with a show full of classics – Outkast, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Jill Scott and more take centre-stage – plus new material from LV and Mala (that incredible ‘Cuba Electronica’ track we highlighted a few weeks ago), clips from a 2001 Peterson interview with N.E.R.D., and chats to various producers that he worked with during his time on Radio 1, discussing their all-time favourite records.
Peterson lost his Radio 1 show, you may remember, as part of a series of recent changes by the station; he’ll be debuting on BBC 6Music on April 7, at 3pm.
You can stream his last show here.
