FACT reported back in January that two generations of lo-fi auteurs would be collaborating.
Cult hero R. Stevie Moore and bonkers minstrel Ariel Pink, we discovered, would be teaming up on a record tastefully titled Ku Klux Glam. As Dummy note, further details have trickled out about the upcoming project, and they’re about as crackpot as you’d expect.
The pair clearly aren’t pitching for concision: Ku Klux Glam contains 61 tracks, ranging from 20 second miniatures through to tracks that breach the 6 minute mark. Things range from the sweet to the scatological across the set. Choice titles include ‘Haunted Graffridgerator’, ‘Barbacutie’ (not ostensibly a Sparks cover) and ‘Steviepink Javascript’. The cover art also depicts an obese lady standing naked in a graveyard. Nice.
A twenty track sampler will be released on cassette on April 30 through Stroll On Records. The set will be strictly limited to 100 tapes. The record is available to stream below in its entirety.
