Shut Up and Play the Hits, the LCD Soundsystem documentary that premiered this January at Sundance will be given a run in US cinemas this Summer.

The person to thank for this, as Pitchfork report, is the Beastie Boys’ Adam Yauch, whose production and distribution company Oscilloscope Laboratories will handle the film’s North American rights. These screenings will, apparently, be “special one-night-only engagements.”

Centered around LCD’s final gig at Madison Square Gardens last year, Shut Up and Play the Hits was directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace. You can watch the trailer below.
