The former Ultramagnetic MC will release Love & Danger LP in June.

Kool Keith has announced his upcoming LP Love & Danger will arrive June 5th on Junkadelic, and it might be his last. The set will be produced by DJ Junkaz Lou.

The album’s final track, ‘Goodbye Rap’, stands as Keith’s retirement notice. “This is probably my last project,” he says in an accompanying press release. “You just got the last of the vocals of me. I’m quitting the game. Goodbye, rap.”

If true, this would bring a close to a career spanning 27 years, highlighted by his work with seminal New York rap outfit Ultramagnetic MC’s and Dr. Octagon, a collaboration with Dan “The Automator” Nakamura.
