It’s produced by trance behemoth David Guetta, a man with past form at ruining perfectly adept singers for everybody. But you know, that’s the world we’re living in. ‘Laserlight”s actually not nearly as bad as some of Guetta’s past crimes – compared to the squealing mid-range of a lot of contemporary chart hip-hop and pop, there’s something quite fuzzy and warm about the drop here (let’s face it, it could be a Skream track if you squint), though the “David G” shout is pure cheese.
