Om Unit’s juke alias remixes London artist Louis Blaise.

The Philip D Kick remix of “Love And Gwalla” finds Om Unit, who can sometimes be found as half of Dream Continuum with Machinedrum, in yet another guise, a fleetfooted footwork maestro with a sci-fi punning name. He reworks a track by London rapper Louis Blaise, with distorted bass in the intro soon give way to juke-style hyperkinetic kick drums and a female chorus echoing back Blaise’s refrain. The tension between that recurring intro, tom-led breakdowns, and the more full-on sections should make this one a dancefloor destroyer.
