New Orleans rapper must return to jail after domestic abuse arrest.

Veteran rapper Mystikal, real name Michael Tyler, must serve three months in jail after violating his probation stemming from his 2004 conviction for sexual battery and extortion. He was released from a Louisiana prison in January 2010, after serving six years upon being convicted of those charges. After a February arrest and misdemeanor charge for domestic abuse battery, 90 days have been added to Tyler’s original sentence. He has been ordered to return to jail on May 14th.

In December 2011, Mystikal inked a deal with Cash Money records. His debut album for that label, which would be his first LP since 2001’s Turantula, is slated to appear later this year.
