As many FACT readers will already be aware, this month saw the release of Sun Araw, M. Geddes Gangres and The Congos’ Icon Give Thank album.

The LP, which comes courtesy of RVNG Intl.’s FRKWYS series, is accompanied by a film, Icon Eye, which documents Cameron Stallones and Gangres’s recording sessions with the reggae legends in Jamaica. The Sun Araw Band will be performing music from Icon Give Thank with The Congos at London’s Village Underground on June 22 (details here), but in the meantime we recommend you give 30 minutes of your time to the above video of Sun Araw’s live set for the Boiler Room & Red Stripe Make Sessions’ Back Yard Broadcast at SXSW, which took place in Austin, Texas on March 15.
