Mississippi rapper readies major label debut.
After an acclaimed series of mixtapes over the past few years, including K.R.I.T. Wuz Here and his most recent 4eva N A Day, Meridian, MS rapper Big K.R.I.T. is ready to drop his retail debut, Live From The Underground, on June 5th via Def Jam. He’s just unveiled the crashed-Caddy cover art, which, as you can see, is a beauty.
The rapper-producer wrote a message explaining the cover art, which reads in part:
Message from Krit:
This is the artwork 4 my debut album “Live From The Underground”. It’s a representation of how I feel about underground vs mainstream music. At times I feel like mainstream music operates on a totally different planet. This illustrates how I’ve crash landed into the mainstream to bring the sounds from the underground back 2 the forefront.
