It seems pretty ubiquitously agreed upon that Usher’s ‘Climax’ is already one of 2012’s best pop songs.

Usher has now followed the synthed-out slow jam with something far quicker: ‘Scream’ is tanked-up 4/4 with one Hell of a breakdown. Sure, it’s not quite as memorable as ‘Climax’ – there’s a lot around that sounds like it, for a start – but it’s still a decent sign that the forthcoming album Looking for Myself will be one of Usher’s best.
