One Little Plane, aka Chicago folk artist Kathryn Bint, has managed to pull in favours from some pretty lofty friends on her new LP.

Into The Trees is due to arrive on Kieran Hebden’s Text label, and features instrumental and production work from the man himself. Radiohead’s Colin Greenwood also puts finger to fret on the record. New track ‘Hold You Down’ shows the all-star team on languid form.

Hebden is on production duty, and also pops up on vibraphone. Kathryn Bint’s voice is brittle as china, and there’s a loose, rickety feel to the ensemble performance. ‘Hold You Down’ is certainly more rootsy than your typical Text release; Hebden, it’s easy to forget, first came to attention with gentle instrumental combo Fridge. Nonetheless, ‘Hold You Down’ is a graceful track with no shortage of poise.

Into The Trees is due on May 7, via Text.
