On her recent One Second Of Love, Ramona Gonzalez showed she could pull off upfront, tuneful pop music.
The L.A. singer/producer is now set to take on the founding fathers of melodic electro-pop. As Playground report, Gonzales will perform Kraftwerk’s killer 1981 LP Computer World in its entirety. On June 1, L.A’s Ford Ampitheatre will play host to Gonzalez’s interpretations of ‘Numbers’, ‘Pocket Calculator’ et al.
Gonzalez will be joined on-stage by Stones Throw kingpin Peanut Butter Wolf and psych combo Secret Circuit. Nedelle Torrisi and Cole MGN will also join the performance.
The night is part of a ‘Krautrock Classics’ event, hosted by Dublab and the Goethe-Institut. It’s not the first time Gonzales has tackled Computer World: she covered the record last year at L.A.’s Hard Rock Cafe.
