BLOC already boast the festival line-up of the summer.
That bill’s just got a little bit more impressive with the news that Amon Tobin will be bringing his infamous ISAM show to the festival. The Brazilian’s never been one to shy away from technological innovation: his Permutation and Bricolage LPs explored previously unchartered territory in beat based electronica, and his work on the Splinter Cell soundtrack saw him branching out into new media. The ISAM show boasts a “25′ x 14′ x 8′ multi-dimensional / shape shifting 3D art installation”, and should be one of the biggest spectacles of the weekend. Check our recent interview with the man for more insights into mind-frying show.
BLOC have also now confirmed the line-up for their Stubnitz boar space. The bill is, frankly, ridiculous: Joy Orbison, Hudson Mohawke, Hype Williams, Kode9, Oneohtrix Point Never, DVA, Jacques Green, Pinch and Loefah are one of many killer names set to stride onto the former deep-sea fishing vessel. The bash will run from July 6-7. More information and tickets here.
