Bristol’s foremost purple funk explorer, Joker, has released a new single.

The A-side, ‘Skitta’, is our pick. After a run of classic singles, Joker’s long-awaited debut album The Vision didn’t quite live up to expectations for many, but ‘Skitta”s got real lasting value, slipping from punchy, staccato grime into an end of the world breakdown worthy of a spot on Rustie’s Glass Swords. On B-side ‘I Think You Should Know’, meanwhile, Joker teams up with grime vets Newham Generals for something a bit more spiky.
