Rising rapper Action Bronson has caused major consternation with a succession of offensive, deeply stupid Tweets.

The Queens MC has always had a scatological streak, but his tropes of choice – food, pop culture, goofy sex – have been almost entirely benign. Unfortunately, a recent jag on Twitter seems to suggest that Bronson’s facetiousness isn’t always fun.

As Pitchfork report, Bronson took to Twitter yesterday to upload a self-styled “Close up of Drunk Mexican Tranny after [friend] Bes poured a Bottle of water on its head”. The accompanying Instagram image showed a patently distressed transgendered person drenched in water (Bronson’s Instagram account is no longer, but you can see the image here). A further caption read “Big Body Posin wit a Drunk Mexican on Broadway #Queens”.

If the picture wasn’t unsavoury enough, Bronson’s subsequent Tweets proved even more disheartening. Responding to censure from Twitter users, Bronson wrote “HAHAHAHA U PUSSIES ARE SO SENSITIVE. If u DONT wanna get pissed on spit on and put on Instagram DONT GET DRUNK TO THE POINT U CANT STAND OR TALK.” A subsequent Tweet read: “I love Gay People. Trannies not so much”.

Bronson’s last missive on the subject was moderately conciliatory, but clearly somewhat inadequate: “My Mother is Upset. The Picture i posted on Instagram was Distasteful yes, But in no way was i trying to offend anybody from the Gay and Lesbian Community. It wasnt even a Transvestite it just honestly looked like one. I was stupid and i apologize for any hurt caused. In closing I still dont give a fuck what anyone things i love everyone and Blow Me from the Back.” Whatever his intentions, the ugly incident certainly isn’t Bronson’s finest hour.
