If you’ve read FACT lately, you may have noticed a fair bit of dialogue around Ricardo Villalobos and Max Loderbauer’s remixes of Conrad Schnitzler.

More staying than the beautiful-sometimes-bordering-on-sterile-but-still-generally-excellent Re:ECM, the pair’s full-length revision of the back catalogue of seminal jazz label ECM, it found Villalobos and Loderbauer on fine form – form that continues on their just released remix of Hauschka’s [above] ‘Cube’, from last year’s Salon des Amateurs album. More Summery and spritely than their Schnitzler remixes, but no less abstract and subtly beguiling, it’s out now.

Only clips available online, so you’ll just have to buy it if you want to hear the whole thing. Which, lest we forget, was how things used to be.
