Adult Swim are limbering up for their annual Singles Programme, now in its third year.

The irreverent Cartoon Network channel – responsible for the likes of Aqua Teen Hunger Force and the phenomenal Tim And Eric Awesome Show Great Job! – has long had a close and reciprocal relationship with the music world. Flying Lotus got his first break premiering beats on the channel, and DOOM and Dangermouse’s 2005 The Mouse And The Mask LP was essentially a high-concept ode to the network.

As Exclaim report, the label will open the Adult Swim Singles programme today. Over 13 weeks (three more than last year), a host of exclusive tracks will be made available to download for free. Flying Lotus, The Field, Com Truise, Death Grips and Wavves are among the acts to be making new cuts available gratis. Previous years have seen tracks from Madvillain, Clams Casino, El-P and how To Dress Well.
