Back in February, we found out that electronic masters The Orb were recording an album with dub legend Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry.

As The Orb’s Alex Peterson put it at the time, “we wanted to do a souly type, modern, minimal album with some reggae influences with [Perry’s] vocals on top. I think its one of the best bits of work we’ve ever done.”

We now know that the album will be titled The Orbserver in the Star House, and will be released in September. Head over here to download the first track from it, ‘Hold Me Upsetter’. You have to provide an email address, but you never know: it might lead to receiving a mad mail from Perry himself.
