UK Funky upstart Ossie has announced his first official release since last year’s Set The Tone EP on Hyperdub.

Ossie last featured in these parts tinkering around with a track by his own pet ensemble Black Orange Juice. As Juno Plus report, he’s now primed to return with a fresh four-track EP, the (presumably Julie Andrews-indebted) Supercali EP.

The disc will arrive on fledgling label 2020 Midnight Visions. Black Orange Juice members Orial and Paul Black both contribute vocals to the record. Ossie’s reportedly been out of the game to focus on his studies, so here’s hoping he’s bagged the grades he was aiming for.

Supercali is due on July 9. Juno Plus also claim to have it on good authority that Ossie has another Hyperdub release in the works, although details are scarce for now.
